Hello! Have you missed me? I have been so busy relocating to Seattle that I haven't found a minute to put a post together. I finally had a few free minutes today and hope to settle into a regular schedule soon.
I love the look of this club chair listed today:
Have you found any wonderful bargains lately?

[My Finds] Shoes, Cabinets and Dishes!
I didn't realize that I had so many items to share until I started looking around.
Here are my latest buys from the Spokane area:
I found this set of dishes on the Spokane CL for only $10! There are so many dishes in this awesome set that I had to put some in storage.
The set includes dinner plates, salad plates, dessert plates, bowls, tea cups and saucers, serving bowls and platters!
I love them and can't wait to use them at a dessert party we are hosting this week!
I found these shoes at the Salvation Army Thrift Store on Division for $3.98 plus tax. I definitely thought twice about buying used shoes from a thrift store but they looked brand new and I cleaned them before wearing them. If shoes could pay for themselves in compliments earned then this pair has definitely paid for themselves in the few weeks I have owned them. I have loved womens reactions to them, literally one customer at my work exclaimed "Hang on a minute! We have to talk about your shoes!"
The brand is called New Twist and I can't find any shoes by them online, I am assuming its some cheapo brand but I love them!
My last buy is a small medicine cabinet for our bathroom. Our apartment came with this funky wood and metal shelf in the bathroom that doesn't match the style of the space at all. When I saw this cute cabinet at UGM on Washington for $1.99 plus tax, I snagged it. It works well for a bit more storage space and looks a lot better than the shelf we used before.

I hope you all had an enjoyable weekend!
Here are my latest picks from the Spokane area CL:
(Click on the photo to be taken to the original ad)
I have been in love with chenille bedspreads since the first time I laid eyes on one. They can be incredibly expensive depending on their design and condition. I think this one is a bargain at $20.
A cute straight-forward dining table for $15:
I like the looks of this large thermometer but these days I fear I would get depressed every time I read the temperature.

[My Finds] Neon Letters
Today while browsing the Craigslist postings for Spokane I came across this ad:
Being the advertising lover that I am I quickly contacted the seller and set up a time to check out the letters this evening. All day my mind was busy thinking of different words I could spell. I had originally thought I would get an "L" for me, an "M" for my boyfriend, Mike and an "F" for our dog, Fernando.
Once I arrived, the seller and I discovered that unfortunately there was no L or F. I was contemplating purchasing the M as well as "in" which reminded me of an "Open" sign. As the seller's family and I were having fun putting the letters together, I realized I already had the first half of my boyfriend's last name in my hands so we looked for an E and an R to spell Miner. Unfortunately, the only Rs were attached to other letters so I got an OR and an E and put the E over the O...if that makes sense.
So here is our new MINER sign!
Let me tell you, clear glass letters are A LOT harder to photograph than I expected so these pictures don't really convey how fun (I think) it looks.
I have only had them home a few hours and am sure to spend the night rearranging the bookshelf to accommodate this latest addition.
$5
Millwod/Valley
These clear neon letters have been removed from a double faced sign. Perfect for an art project or to be resued. The capital letters are approximately 12" and the lower case letters are approx 8" tall. Each letter will be $5 and connected letters like "or" are $10. Let me know if you are interested.

I bought the 503 gas station numbers at one of my favorite local shops, Unified Groove Merchants on Monroe. I think they were $2 a piece but I can't remember for sure.
Other neon letters are still available. Click on the title of the ad I posted above to be taken to the original Craigslist ad.

[Follower Buys] SpoCOOL's Side Table
It was brought to my attention after @SpoCOOL suggested me on Follow Friday (for all you non-tweeters, it's a Twitter thing), that the writer's of http://www.spocool.com/ had bought the side table I featured on Lu's List a few weeks ago. I am overjoyed to hear that Lu's List is helping people find quality, local, pre-owned items as this was one of my goals when I started Lu's List.
I also want to share a little"before" and "after" comparison to encourage people to see items listed on Craigslist in person rather than dismissing them if the seller takes an unflattering photo.
Here is the picture included in the original Craigslist post:
This beauty was listed on the Spokane Craigslist for $15. The seller didn't include any information about the item but after further inspection the buyers noticed it was made by Kroehler, a popular mid-century furniture manufacturer. More information about the Kroehler company can be found here. I could only find one Kroehler side table for sale online, it's listed for $79 and can be seen here.
If you enjoy being up to date on foodie news around Spokane, check out http://www.spocool.com/ for the latest local info.

Tuesday's Picks
Here are todays picks from the Spokane Craigslist ads:
I like that this vintage craft table has an interesting linoleum top and it sure is the right price!
Vintage Kids Craft Table
FREE
We HATE to just junk this cool table, but we have no room for it, now that the kids are bigger. It is a very old, incredibly sturdy vintage kids craft table. It measures approximately 2 feet high by 4 feet long by 3 feet wide. It has cool, old linoleum on the top, sturdy wooden legs, and an aluminum edge. Very cool!
I think this little speaker dog thing is humorous and it's a good deal at $10. Here is a comparable dog/speaker for $40: I- Dog Dance Black
.
I-DOG I-POD MP3 MUSIC SPEAKER WITH LED LIGHTS & MOTION.
$10
It's a little hard to tell but I think this could be a really cool, mid-century looking side table.
Night Stand
$15
I recently acquired a similar Dooney and Bourke purse and I love it!
Dooney and Burke Handbag Purse
$15 OBO
Dooney and Bourke all-weather leather handbag/purse. In excellent condition!
