Thursday's Finds

This week, Lu's List had the opportunity to visit Roast House, a local, small-batch coffee roasting business, to learn about how they promote buying local.  A great example of their efforts is the (hopefully 1st Annual) Black Friday Local Shopping Challenge.  It was great to meet Deborah and Dave and to see first-hand one of the local businesses helping support the Spokane economy.

If you are in the mood to support the local economy while satisfying your coffee craving, you don't have to stop at the coffee.  Buying a local, pre-owned coffee pot helps keep your carbon footprint from growing and supports the local economy.  That's 2-for-1 if you ask me!

Coffee Pots, Lots of Them
$3

Our Hotel has recently changed the style of coffee makers in our rooms and we are looking to sell the ones we are replacing. They are all 4 cup black coffee makers, the brand may vary. They are clean and work great. We have an excess of these, so you can buy just 1, 20, 50 or all of them if you want.

Purchase information and original post can be found here: Lots of Coffee Pots

If you want to go a step further in supporting the local economy, you could enjoy your coffee at a coffee table you bought from a local individual trying to sell theirs, such as this one:

Oak Coffee Table and End Table
 $15

Both solid oak, heavy, and with removable tinted glass.  Very sturdy and structurally sound pieces.  No chips or cracks in glass or wood.

Original post and purchase information can be found here: Coffee and End Tables

Don't forget to keep your locally roasted coffee fresh by keeping it in an airtight container.  This seller has listed a fun, vintage canister set:

Cheinco Canisters
$15

Cheinco Canister Set from the 1950's.   Flour, Sugar, Coffee, Tea.

Excellent Condition- copper colored tops- all paint is great!!! Just 2 minor dings. Insides are very nice as well.

Vintage set!

Happy Hunting,
Lu
