[FREE] Thursday's Find

I came across this listing in the free section yesterday and wanted to share it.  I think 2nd Harvest's Plant a Row for the Hungry Program is a wonderful example of creating a sustainable cycle within our community.  If you have room to grow some fruits and veggies this year, I suggest looking into this program.

FREE VEGETABLE SEEDS

Second Harvest - a non-profit food distribution center serving 21 counties in eastern Washington and 5 counties in northern Idaho - is giving away FREE fruit, vegetable and herb seeds. The program is called Plant A Row for the Hungry. We supply local home gardeners, farmers, community gardens, etc. with the seeds, and in return we ask that you donate some of your harvest (whatever you can afford) back to us. We then distribute the produce to local food banks to help feed our hungry neighbors in Spokane County. The program is a win-win-win for everyone involved, especially those who need our help the most. PLEASE CONSIDER GROWING A LITTLE EXTRA PRODUCE THIS YEAR; FAR TOO MANY OF OUR BROTHERS, SISTERS, CHILDREN AND ELDERY NEED OUR HELP!!

Happy Hunting,
Lu
